PALO ALTO, CA and LAS VEGAS, NV–Aug 5, 2025–Inception Cyber, the inventors of Intent‑Based Threat Prevention™, today announced its successful completion of a HIPAA compliance attestation, validated by independent audit firm Sensiba LLP. This HIPAA attestation affirms that Inception Cyber’s policies, procedures, and controls with respect to the handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) meet the requirements of the HIPAA Security, Privacy, and Breach Notification Rules.

Conducted in parallel with Inception Cyber’s previously announced SOC 2 Type II audit (also performed by Sensiba LLP), the HIPAA attestation underscores the company’s comprehensive approach to compliance and trust in healthcare contexts. While SOC 2 assesses controls under the AICPA Trust Services Criteria, HIPAA ensures adherence to federal regulations related to patient data protection and breach response.

“Healthcare organizations—like all industries—are under siege from increasingly evasive email threats,” said Bill Mann, Co-founder and CEO of Inception Cyber. “But with AI now entering both the attack and defense landscape, it’s critical that vendors uphold the highest standards around data use. At Inception Cyber, we do not train our models on enterprise data, and we never perform human behavior analysis. These are non-negotiable safeguards for healthcare buyers—and foundational principles in how we’ve built our platform.”

Sensiba LLP evaluated Inception Cyber’s security program across HIPAA’s core pillars:

  • Administrative safeguards: risk analysis, workforce training, incident response
  • Physical safeguards: controlled access, data center protections
  • Technical safeguards: encryption of PHI at rest and in transit, audit controls, access control
  • Breach Notification procedures in accordance with federal and state expectations

Together, the SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA attestation affirm Inception Cyber’s readiness to serve regulated industries and strengthen trust in environments that require secure handling of PHI.
